Andy has been involved in music for most of his life. Over the years, he has played a number of instruements, including the trumpet, baritone horn, piano, and harmonica, but his primary focus has always been in guitar and bass. Before joining the band, Andy mainly focused on guitar but was thrilled at the opportunity to play bass for the band.
Along with his bass playing, Andy has been able to explore another interest since joining the band. He has been dabbling in songwriting since he started playing the guitar, but it never really took flight until recently, when he formed a partnership with bandmate Bob Todaro. Over the course of the last year, the two have worked together on several Rotary songs, including White Lady and In Flight.
Aside from The Beatles, Andy has a very wide range of musical tastes. From Paul Simon to Radiohead, from Elliott Smith to Pink Floyd, he is consistently drawing inspiration from all over the musical spectrum. He has recently become interested in early folk music, as well as some funk and jazz.
