Jack began his musical activity at a very young age playing the harmonica as a solo act. He also learned to play the clarinet at this point in his life. Soon after elementary school, Jack picked up several new instruments including the baritone horn, and the guitar.

He continued to improve his techniques through middle school and high school performing with the Rocky Hill High School Jazz Band, as well several other bands including Sac of Beans, Tuff Tamadaz, and Black Irish. Jack was also a member of the Rocky Hill High School Marching Band playing the baritone horn. Upon graduation, Jack was awarded the John Phillip Sousa Band award, the highest honor that a music student can be awarded.

After high school, Jack went on to attend Central Connecticut State University and graduated with his bachelor's degree in Accounting. He is currently employed as an auditor. While attending CCSU, Jack continued to remain an active participant in the music community. He and his brother Bob formed a rock duo that performed briefly for various events.
